E36 OBC Removal & Replacement DIY

If you’re wondering how to remove your OBC (On Board Trip Computer) or ultimately your sunglass holder, this video explains how. Personally i’ve never struggled as much as this guy did to remove an OBC before, but as he finds out himself, do not use a screw driver to pry the OBC out. The process is fairly simple, and no tools are needed despite what the video maker attempts to do, all you need is your bare hands. Reach into the sunglass tray and up through the small hole at the top. Get a grip on the OBC with a finger or two and pull towards you, some finness and muscle is required.
